{"id":5084,"date":"2024-03-18T13:10:49","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T07:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/payrule.in\/?p=5084"},"modified":"2024-03-18T13:15:38","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T07:45:38","slug":"naps-five-checkpoints-to-watch-out-for-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/payrule.in\/index.php\/2024\/03\/18\/naps-five-checkpoints-to-watch-out-for-2\/","title":{"rendered":"NAPS \u2013 Shift to Aadhar Based Payment System wef Apr 2024 payroll for DBT Transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aadhar Based Payment System wef Apr 2024 payroll for DBT Transfer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"887\" height=\"607\" src=\"https:\/\/payrule.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/bank-kyc-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5089\" srcset=\"https:\/\/payrule.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/bank-kyc-2.jpg 887w, https:\/\/payrule.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/bank-kyc-2-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/payrule.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/bank-kyc-2-768x526.jpg 768w, https:\/\/payrule.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/bank-kyc-2-650x445.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 887px) 100vw, 887px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>As per the OM released by MSDE dated 11.03.2024, there will be a shift from bank-based payments to Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS) for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) disbursements to apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS. 2.0) starting from&nbsp;<strong>01<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;April 2024 payroll<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please find below the key points to be noted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Effective Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;The transition to Aadhaar seeded DBT will commence from 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;April 2024 for new contracts signed under NAPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Checklist for candidates to avail DBT under APBS system:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"a\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Starting from \u201cEffective date\u201d, it is mandatory for all new candidates applying for apprenticeship opportunities under NAPS to have their bank account seeded with Aadhaar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bank account must either be a&nbsp;<strong>Jan Dhan account<\/strong>&nbsp;or an account in any&nbsp;<strong>scheduled commercial bank, payment bank, Regional Rural Bank (RRB), or Cooperative bank.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account should&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;be a current account or a loan account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>For Existing Apprentices \/ Ongoing Contracts:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>NAPS Contracts<\/strong>: For apprentices currently undergoing training under NAPS, it is compulsory to seed their bank account with Aadhaar immediately. DBT will not be disbursed till this activity is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Non-NAPS Contracts:<\/strong>&nbsp;Aadhaar seeding is not compulsory, but advisable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transition Period:&nbsp;<\/strong>From 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;May 2024, the DBT payment will be temporarily paused for 15 working days to facilitate the transition to the APB system. During this period, no DBT payments will be made.
